How it works
Each question shows two unlabeled stat lines side by side. You pick one. Names stay hidden until the end, so you vote on the numbers, not the jersey. Sides are flipped at random and every visit gets a different mix of questions. In a few questions a third card sneaks in: the same stats for a decoy legend (Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Tim Duncan, Wilt Chamberlain, Kobe Bryant or Stephen Curry). Picking a decoy doesn’t count toward MJ vs LeBron; the reveal tells you how often you fell for one.
Where the numbers come from
Statistics are provided by Basketball-Reference.com, part of Sports Reference LLC, from the player pages for Michael Jordan and LeBron James and the related team season pages. Each question uses a small handful of those numbers. Some lines are simple calculations from those records (for example, “playoff points per game minus regular-season points per game”). Career figures for active players can change as seasons are played.
